The recent White House Conference on Aging has now launched a one-stop link to aging resources. The website’s address or URL, www.Aging.gov, is made to remember. The home page leads to a wealth of information about Social Security, Medicaid, healthy aging, long-term care, HIPAA (health privacy) and methods to submit a complaint. The site allows a user to select his or her state, and click through local information. Seniors who are looking for a state that offers excellent senior services, as well as caregivers who are trying to assist elders from a distance, can quickly find information about the state or states that interest them.
The Mississippi state site connects the viewer with the website of the Mississippi Department of Human Services Division of Aging and Adult Services,  http://www.mdhs.state.ms.us/aging-adult-services/.  The Programs section of that site connects to information about the Area Agencies on Aging, Adult Protective Services, and Family Caregiver Support Program among others.
